Already accredited since 2018 by the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC), the Ifremer-SISMER marine data center was awarded renewal of its 2019 Trustworthy Data Repository certification by the international CoreTrustSeal organization on September 14, 2023.

On January 30 and 31, 2024, a training session on SeaDataNet tools was organized in Trieste by the OGS as part of EMODnet Chimie.

A human-scale conference on geomatics and the sea
The merIGéo conference brings together a community of geomatics professionals (public institutions, research organizations, university laboratories, state services, local authorities, consulting firms, associations, etc.) every two years to focus on a common issue: the study and management of the sea and ocean, from the coast to the deep sea.
The annual Sextant 2024 day will be held on Thursday September 12 in a hybrid format (at the Salon de l'Océan on the Ifremer site in Plouzané and by videoconference).
