A human-scale conference on geomatics and the sea

The merIGéo conference brings together a community of geomatics professionals (public institutions, research organizations, university laboratories, state services, local authorities, consulting firms, associations, etc.) every two years to focus on a common issue: the study and management of the sea and ocean, from the coast to the deep sea.

A collaboration between public institutes and the university

The organizers, Ifremer, OFB, and Shom, have decided to hold this new edition from March 18 to 20, 2025, at Ifremer in Nantes, in collaboration with the faculty and students of IGARUN at Nantes University.

In-person event

This edition will be held in person in French in the amphitheater of Ifremer in Nantes. A videoconference option is available for speakers from outside mainland France.

The event will begin early in the afternoon on Tuesday and conclude early in the afternoon on Thursday. Break times will be prioritized to encourage exchanges between marine geomatics professionals, with posters and demonstrations.
