Continuing on from JERICO (FP7), which ended in 2015, JERICO-Next aims to strengthen and expand a sound and transparent European network in the supply of operational services for the continuous, sustainable delivery in due time of high-quality environmental data and information products related to the marine environment in European coastal waters.
Its objectives:
- Harmonising and strengthening European coastal observation systems (anchorages, floating buoys, FerryBox and gliders).
- Defining best practices for designing, implementing, maintaining and distributing data from these coastal observation systems, and defining a quality standard.
The duration of this project is 4 years.
Ifremer coordination: Patrick Farcy and Ingrid Puillat.
